Joanna Raimo graduated with her Bachelor's in Music Education from Houghton College in 2011. Following her undergraduate she spent four years studying opera with master teachers and coaches. Joanna has performed roles with New York Lyric Opera Theater and All Access Productions. She has performed in choruses with The Martina Arroyo Foundation and at Carnegie Hall.
In 2017 Joanna began teaching at studios in New York and North Carolina with a student roster of over 40 voice and piano students. Joanna's focus is to find the student's passion and how they learn best teaching student's to ask questions and outside-the-box thinking. Starting as young as 4 years old, Joanna's youngest students learn through a story based curriculum where we play, sing and draw major musical concepts while playing duets and solos at the piano. For her older students, music lessons means more than just learning to play an instrument, her student's learn life and character building skills that will carry on beyond the studio.
Joanna's passion is to create leaders in her students through learning music so that they can become not only lifelong music lovers but lifelong learners and leaders.
